Glenview Chamber of Commerce highlights more than 67 years of family dentistry in its Family Business Spotlight
GLENVIEW, Ill., Sept. 14, 2026 – Nolan & Freund Dental Professionals, a privately owned dental practice caring for North Shore families since 1958, has earned a featured profile in the Glenview Chamber of Commerce’s Family Business Spotlight. The feature recognizes more than 67 years of continuous care and the two families of dentists behind the practice.
The spotlight traces the practice’s history to its founding by Dr. Jerry Nolan in 1958. His son, Dr. Mike Nolan, later joined the practice and now leads it alongside Dr. Chad Freund, whose father, Dr. Tim Freund, practiced dentistry in Chillicothe, Illinois. Dr. Nolan and Dr. Freund have been partners for more than 15 years and bring more than 40 years of combined clinical experience to the office.
“My father built this practice on careful diagnosis and honest communication, and that has not changed since 1958,” said Dr. Mike Nolan, co-owner of Nolan & Freund Dental Professionals. “Being featured by the Chamber alongside other family businesses in our community means a great deal to both of our families.”
The Family Business Spotlight follows the practice’s selection as 2024 Business of the Year by the Glenview Chamber of Commerce. The feature also notes the doctors’ community involvement, including volunteer care through Dental Access Days and Mission of Mercy, programs that provide dental treatment to patients in need.

Nolan & Freund Dental Professionals provides family and preventive dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, emergency care, sedation dentistry and clear aligner orthodontics. Dr. Nolan earned his dental degree from Loyola University School of Dentistry, and Dr. Freund earned his from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry in Chicago. Both are active members of the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society and the Chicago Dental Society. The practice remains independently owned, and patients see the same two doctors at every appointment.
